Research and Planning
As a member of the design department, I collaborated closely with the marketing, sales, and customer success teams, as well as other internal stakeholders, to gather essential insights.
- Worked with the marketing team to understand the current brand messaging and marketing strategies.
- Gathered insights into the target audience's demographics, preferences, and behaviors.
- Collaborated with the sales team to understand their needs and challenges in engaging potential customers.
- Identified the most effective CTAs and lead capture methods based on sales feedback.
- Ensured the new design would enhance the overall customer journey and satisfaction.
- Gathered insights on new product launches, features, and updates that needed to be highlighted on the website.
What personas are involved?
Reviewing Existing Website Analytics
During continuous effort on existing data studies, I collaborated closely with product manager, design and marketing teams to review website analytics to understand how users were interacting with the existing site.
- Analyzed metrics such as page views, bounce rates, session durations, and conversion rates.
- Identified popular content and high-traffic pages, as well as areas with high drop-off rates.
- Evaluated the performance of different types of content, including blog posts, product pages, and case studies.
- Identified content that was engaging users effectively and content that needed improvement or reorganization.
Competitor Analysis
As a next step in design thinking process, I analyzed direct and indirect competitor’s websites to identify current trends in the robotics and automation industry.
- Noted design elements, content strategies, and user engagement techniques that were being effectively used by competitors.
- Identified best practices for website design, navigation, and user experience within the industry.
- Analyzed the structure and layout of competitor websites to understand how they presented their products and solutions.
- Focused on unique selling points and innovative features that could be highlighted to attract and retain users.
Website Architecture
As part of an initiative to showcase our solutions and boost user engagement, I contributed significantly to the design and prototyping of the website architecture for mobile formats. This effort involved working closely with cross-functional teams to structure the website's hierarchy, ensuring intuitive navigation and a user-centric experience.
Prototypes of Re-usable components
As part of an initiative to develop scalable and reusable design elements, I took a leading role in the design and prototyping of responsive page components. This process involved integrating key layout design elements into the Figma Design System and updating mid-fidelity wireframes for the primary website pages to ensure consistency and functionality across the platform.
Ready for Development
Once the prototypes were finalized, I took several critical steps to ensure that the development team had all the necessary resources to bring the website to completion efficiently.
- I integrated the finalized components into the Figma Design System, ensuring consistency across all screens and providing the development team with a reusable library of design elements. This facilitated a more efficient development process, reduced the need for repetitive work.
- Throughout the development process, I remained available to provide ongoing support and clarification. I reviewed the implemented designs to ensure they matched the prototypes and worked closely with the developers to resolve any discrepancies.
Results just within first month
- Views per user has increased more than 2X.
- Average engagement time with content has increased about 3X.
- Bounce rate has decreased.
- Amount of returning users has become significantly higher.
- Mobile user experience has been improved and became easier to navigate.
